The Patriot Act form asks you to list “Signing Agent” as your title. The term “Notary Public” should not be used. You are not operating in a notarial capacity on the Patriot Act form even though you are a Notary Public. As a result, you cannot sign a document that doesn’t contain a notarial act while claiming the title “Notary Public.”
